That’s partly my fault though because new readers won’t have been told how old he is (late forties). Or the rest of the description for that matter. Mind you readers usually form their own impressions of characters and I have no objections to that.

As far as Peter being young, I'm in my mid-sixties, so late forties sounds pretty young to me. 😉 I live on a country where one of our former presidents dismissed his own drug use during his early to mid adult years as youthful indiscretions...
