Donkey Ote! (and Sancho, too!) - I do like that donkey story of yous. Nice fragments, I enjoyed them. Don't be bummed out about the competition. If you DM Miguel, he'll tell you more about how your story was rated. He said he liked mine, but it had the same problem as yours - it was a narrative rather than a story. I'm just doing these as a brain exercise, but I'm finding them to be fun, too, so I'll keep plugging along. I like your holiday entry - it was a lot deeper than mine, I wrote about cookies. 😂 Happy Solstice!
I know what you mean about brain exercises - that's sort of how I approach them - allow something to just pop into my head and then see where it goes for 100 words or so.
I'm not actually upset at all about the competition. I hope it didn't come across that way! I didn't expect to win and only submitted something at the last minute, which again was an immediate thing that popped into my head, so I just wrote it, didn't really edit at all, then submitted it, just so I wouldn't be upset with myself for not submitting anything.
I think that's a good way to approach the stories. 😊 I wrote and submitted mine on December 1, and then posted it on my story list later that week (https://jeannine85f.substack.com/p/my-weekly-microdosing-stories-6). I post one every week. Cookies are awesome, I'm baking some now!
It will have to be done then! I won’t be able to get away with not doing it…
You’re right though, I have unwittingly created two lovely characters. So a kind of children’s adventure trip visiting all manner of places in the world and learning about them, and sending postcards back home.

Have you posted your one?
Cookies are good of course. I approve!

I forgot to say thank you because of course it was your note which prompted that lovely little story!
No problem, you're very welcome. You linked to the conversation, which was pretty cool! 😎
You do realise that some of us (as in I) now need to know more about the adventures of Ote and Sancho?
It will have to be done then! I won’t be able to get away with not doing it…
