Yes, it does make sense! And I was nice to know that once upon a time I was loved. This is important for survival purposes actually, seeing as in the first year of life if you are looked after then you know you are worth something, you have self-esteem, and connecting with that core is what gets you through. Love, in other words, does indeed cure all.

Cathartic is the right word, yes. I'm sort of hoping my little series might help some others too, one never knows.
But it's certainly cathartic to take back control over the narrative, even if what's done is done and cannot be changed.
