so nice! I liked the 'associativeness' (is that an existing term?) of the notes. almost like a melody ;-)) the way I listened to it there was a lot of echo (reverb), which gave the notes a bit of a blankety sound. "cloudy"? misty, perhaps (as in: a mysterious woman can have a misty voice. or...?). indeed, music is wonderful. we would've invented it if it hadn't been around.
Intriguing. How were the specific notes interpreted from the signal?
Is there an assumption ET would use our standard frequencies to determine individual notes? If so:
a) Why would ET use our increments of our 24hr cycle? as in why would they use cycles per second (Hz) to denote a specific note?
b) Why would they use our standard of 440Hz concert pitch A4 to tune their notes?
Contrary to popular belief (after untold hours of research ~20yrs ago) the 432Hz "frequency of the universe" is very unlikely to be a universal standard in the universe either, if there is a "Frequency of the Universe" it's most likely to be the frequency of the cosmic microwave background radiation (160.23GHz).
For anyone wondering WFT I'm on about, proponents of the 432 Hz standard argue that this lower frequency is more harmonious with nature and the human body, citing its mathematical relationship to the Schumann Resonance, the Earth’s electromagnetic “heartbeat” of approximately 8 Hz. You can listen to many examples of 432Hz music on the interwebs compared to the same music in 440Hz tuning and make your own mind up (TLDR it's subjective). There's a whole nother rabbit hole to go down regarding why "they" decided to use 440Hz as the concert standard.
IMO the ETI was using a scale humans would be familiar with. The assumption of course being they know everything about this planet.
The notes I worked out from the harmonic series - there are 31 in the first 5 octaves, so each number corresponds to a particular note. I just put it all in one octave though.
Yes, I'm sure the Schumann resonance does indeed have something to do with it.
I often wonder, given the myriad of interpretations/translations of ETI messages, if they are so intelligent, know so much about us, and are so desperate to send us a message, why they don't just film a short TikTok style video message and transmit it to our TV's/inteterwebs, or a text message even. ;-)

Yeah - the echo/reverb makes it even lovelier. I shall have to do more! Really happy you liked it!
