nice premise. people do indeed think in stories, very apt observation. our stories combined act like a mycelium (the underground network that connects on-the-ground plants and other growings) and these connections can either make or brake us. found your work through Petra Liverani's substack & subb'd, cheers.

first I learned about it in, I guess, primary school the idea and the image stuck. in Shakespeare's Macbeth it is mentioned that the trees converse together and the forest advances (to ultimately help defeat the enemy) > mycelium!

K says thank you! Yes, I think you do have a lot in common. In the final version it will take a while before you get to learn about her backstory, but that story is something you will certainly understand.
